Cultured Marble (Simulated Marble) Sinks

The most frequent damage to these sinks is cracks or micro-crazing in the drain area due to thermal shock from sudden exposure to hot water. A successful repair using Gel Coat or Quick Glaze systems require the entire area of the crazing to be removed prior to starting. It is then filled with Poly-Filler. Also, it is normally found that at least one crack extends completely through the structure. This must be repaired using applicable procedures, also. Otherwise, the crack will continue after a surface repair.
