The spa market is similar to other “fashion” markets and follows trends that occur in automobiles and home decoration.  For example, blues, greens, and earth tones tend to be the most popular.  In addition to color changes over time, customers become attracted to new surface effects, such as granite-type and pearlescent looks.  The acrylic spa market began around 1980, and over the years there have been hundreds of colors and different “effects” that have been offered by the manufacturers.
